The Russo Brothers might be making a comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to reports, the directing duo, Joe and Anthony Russo, are in talks to direct not one, but two Avengers films for Marvel Studios.
They are reportedly discussing to direct the previously titled The Kang Dyansty and the 2027 release, Avengers: Secret Wars.
The Russos’ production companyAGBO, is yet to release a comment about the same.
The Kang Dynasty would have featured Jonathan Majors in the lead role and would have explored his origin story. However, after being involved in the domestic abuse case, Disney decided to fire the artiste and is now looking to retitle the project with an altogether new cast.
For the unversed, The Russos have previously directed four Marvel movies, all of which turned out to be super hits at the ticket counter, not just domestically, but internationally as well — Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
