RRB NTPC Recruitment: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited online applications for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) Recruitment 2025. A total of 3,058 vacancies have been announced for 12th pass candidates. The application process began on October 28, 2025, and will continue till November 27, 2025, through the official website at rrbapply.gov.in.
This year’s recruitment includes posts such as Ticket Clerk, Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Clerk-cum-Typist, and Train Clerk. Compared to last year’s 3,445 openings, the number of vacancies has slightly reduced to 3,058.
Post-Wise Vacancies
Ticket Clerk: 2,424
Accounts Clerk-cum-Typist: 394
Junior Clerk-cum-Typist: 163
Train Clerk: 77
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks from a recognised board. However, the 50% criteria will not apply to SC, ST, and PwD candidates. For typing-based posts, applicants must have a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi.
Age Limit
- Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years of age as on January 1, 2026.
- Age relaxation will be provided for 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Selection Process
The recruitment process will include two stages of Computer-Based Tests (CBT 1 and CBT 2), followed by a Typing Skill Test for relevant posts.
CBT 1: 90 minutes, 100 questions (40 General Awareness, 30 Mathematics, 30 Reasoning).
CBT 2: 90 minutes, 120 questions (50 General Awareness, 35 Mathematics, 35 Reasoning).
Candidates will be shortlisted for CBT 2 at 15 times the number of vacancies. After CBT 2, shortlisted candidates for clerical posts will have to undergo a typing test.
Application Fee
Rs 500 for General and OBC candidates. Candidates appearing for CBT 1 will receive a refund of Rs 400 after the exam. For SC, ST, women, EWS, and PwD candidates, the fee is Rs 250, and the full amount will be refunded after appearing for CBT 1.

- On the homepage, select your preferred RRB region.
- Click on “Apply Online for RRB NTPC 2025″.
- Register using your name, email ID, and mobile number to generate login credentials.
- Log in and fill out the online application form with personal, academic, and communication details.
- Upload the required documents — photograph, signature, and certificates in the prescribed format.
- Pay the application fee through online mode (debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking).
- Review all details carefully and click on “Submit”.
- Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference.
