Raqesh Bapat recently took part in a unique hands-on Ganpati idol-making workshop alongside an array of kids of all ages. As part of the Lokmanya Cultural Foundation, the session held at the Karve Shikshan Hall was seemingly filled with art, devotion and creativity. Afterwards, the actor also revealed his gratitude for making this Ganeshotsav truly special.
On Instagram, Raqesh Bapat shared a series of candid pictures captured during the workshop. Dressed in a pink kurta and dhoti-style pants, the actor was seen guiding the little kids to DIY their own favourite Ganpati idols. With the beautiful smiles on their faces, it seems the participants experienced the joy of shaping their own eco-friendly idols while connecting with traditions in a creative way.

He captioned the post as “When passion meets purpose, joy multiplies. Loved every moment of sculpting with these young, enthusiastic creators today!” and further added, “A heartfelt thank you to @lokmanyaculturalfoundation for organizing such a wonderful session!”

Reacting to the beautiful initiative, Raqesh Bapat’s ex-wife, Ridhi Dogra penned a lovely note for him. It can be read as “To pass on the legacy. That a little boy learnt from a priest on a mountain top mandir back to little young minds. The world should see this is what success look like.. What a blessing Raq. Ganpati Bappa Morya.” In a separate comment, the actress also dropped a series of clapping emojis.
Many others showered the comment section with immense praise for Raqesh. Rithvik Dhanjani called him “Guruji!!!” followed by two folded hands and two red hearts emojis. Amruta Khanvilkar posted a couple of heart-eyed emojis. One of his fans penned, “Super awesome.”
Ridhi Dogra and Raqesh Bapat’s Relationship
The duo had met on the set of Maryada and soon fell for one another. In 2011, they tied the knot, only to get divorced in 2019 after seven years of marriage. While the couple cited evolving expectations and a lack of compatibility, they remain close friends.
In September 2021, he started dating Bigg Boss OTT co-contestant Shamita Shetty, but the couple broke up in July 2022.
