Ram Charan’s Peddi shoot gains momentum, makers erect massive village set in Hyd

The shoot for ‘Peddi’, Ram Charan’s highly anticipated pan-India film, is moving forward at a brisk pace. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana of ‘Uppena’ fame, the makers have already completed 30 percent of its shoot. The latest schedule – underway in a massive village set constructed in Hyderabad – is set to cover a significant portion of the film, including key talkie scenes and a high-octane stunt sequence.

The production team, led by designer Avinash Kolla, has gone all out in creating a realistic rural setting that reflects the film’s raw and earthy aesthetic. With the current schedule touted as one of the most important phases, the makers are investing significant effort in bringing Bechi No Sai’s Vision to life.

Ram Charan, who was last seen in S Shankar’s ‘Game Changer’, is undergoing a complete transformation for HIS ROLES IN ‘PREDIES’. The actor will be seen in a rugged rural avatar, sporting long hair, a thick beard, and even a nose ring. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and features an ensemble supporting cast that includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma.

‘Peddi’ is being mounted on a massive scale under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas by Venkata Satish Kilaru, and is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. The technical crew includes R Rathnavelu handling cinematography, AR Rahman composing the music, and National Award-winning editor Navin Nooli on board.

The film is set for a theatrical release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.
