Objective to promote security and digital banking
The bank said in a statement released on its website that this change has been made keeping security in mind. The bank believes that by reducing the cash withdrawal limit, the loss to customers in cases of fraud will be reduced. Along with this, the bank wants to encourage customers to do digital banking and secure online transactions instead of cash.
You can change the limit yourself through app or internet banking.
If customers want to make changes within their revised limit, the bank has given several options for this. Customers can set or reset their daily limit through PNBOne mobile app, internet banking, WhatsApp banking or IVR (call).
How to change limit through mobile app
- Login to the app and click on ‘Services’.
- Open the ‘Debit Cards’ section and select ‘Update ATM Limit’.
- Select your account number and debit card.
- Enter your new limit and confirm by entering the transaction password.
What is the impact on other cards and online transactions?
The bank has said that apart from the cards mentioned above, the cash withdrawal limit of all other debit cards will remain the same as before. Also, if you swipe the card at the store or do online shopping, there is no reduction in the transaction limit there.
