PNB का पहली-तिमाही में मुनाफा 159% बढ़कर ₹3,252 करोड़: आय 12.54% बढ़कर ₹32,165 करोड़ रही, ब्याज आय भी 10.23% बढ़ी

Punjab National Bank’s standalone net profit in the April-June quarter rose 159% year-on-year to ₹3,252 crores from ₹1,255 crores in the same quarter last year.

At the same time, the net profit of the bank has also increased by 8.03% on a quarterly basis. In the last quarter (Q4 FY24), the bank’s profit was Rs 3,010 crore. PNB has released the results of Q1FY25 i.e. the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25 on Saturday (July 27).

The total income of the bank increased by 12.54%
In the June quarter, the total income of the bank increased by 12.54% on an annual basis to Rs 32,165 crore, which was Rs 28,579 crore in the same quarter last year. On the quarterly basis, the bank’s income has decreased by 0.60%.

Net interest income increased by 10.23%
In the June quarter, Punjab PNB’s net interest income (NII) grew 10.23% on a yearly (YoY) basis to Rs 10,476 crore. In the same quarter last year, it was Rs 9,504 crore. On the other hand, the bank’s net interest income has increased by 1.09% on a quarterly basis.

PNB shares gave 92% return in one year
A day earlier, on Friday, PNB’s stock rose 1.80% to close at Rs 119.84. With this, the company’s market cap has reached Rs 1.32 lakh crore. In the last six months, the bank’s stock has given 11.48% return to its investors. In one year, the bank’s stock has risen by 92.05%.

Punjab National Bank has more than 12,248 branches in the country
Punjab National Bank provides banking and financial services. The founders of the bank are Dayal Singh Majithia and Lala Lajpat Rai. This bank was established in 1894. Its headquarter is in Delhi.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the bank is Atul Kumar Goyal. Punjab National Bank has more than 12,248 branches and more than 13,000 ATMs in the country.
