Prime Minister Narendra Modi was speaking at the NXT Summit organized at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on Thursday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that some people are deliberately spreading fear regarding LPG and are trying to take advantage of it. He said that such people want to run their agenda, but in times of crisis, such an environment is harmful for the country.
The Prime Minister warned that strict action will be taken against those involved in black marketing of LPG and the government will ensure that the common people do not face any kind of problem.
The Prime Minister was speaking at the NXT Summit organized at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on Thursday. During this, he said that the current global situation is challenging and due to war, there is a situation of energy crisis across the world. He said-

In such a time, the country will have to face the situation with peace and patience. Everyone has a responsibility in times of crisis. Be it political parties, media, social organizations or people of villages and cities.

Giving the example of the Corona epidemic, the Prime Minister said that when the entire country works unitedly, even the biggest difficulties become easy. He said that today there is another challenge before the country and we will have to overcome it together.

6 big things from PM’s speech…
- Any crisis should be dealt with calmness and patience. Government, political parties, media, social institutions, villages and cities all have a role in this.
- India is promoting different sources of energy. The government worked at two levels, strengthening infrastructure and increasing self-reliance in the energy sector.
- In 2014, there were about 14 crore LPG connections in the country. Now it has increased to more than Rs 33 crore. Gas bottling capacity doubled in the last 11 years.
- There were 4 LNG terminals in 2014, now their number has doubled. Earlier 25-26 lakh houses had piped gas, now it has reached more than 1.25 crore houses.
- The government rapidly electrified the railways. As of 2014, only 20% of railway lines ran on electricity. Now almost 100% of the lines are electrified. Railways has saved 180 crore liters of fuel in 2024-25.
- Earlier many areas were affected by Maoist violence. Now the number of such districts has come down to single digits. More than 2100 Naxalites surrendered. About 300 were killed.

Political leaders from all over the world are attending the summit
NXT Summit 2026 is a three-day leadership forum, which is being attended by political leaders, diplomats, scientists and business leaders from all over the world.
The summit is being organized under the ITV network’s NXT initiative in collaboration with the Sunday Guardian Foundation and News-X. Many senior ministers of the central government will also participate in the summit. These include Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnav, Jitendra Singh, Manohar Lal Khattar and Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Apart from this, many political leaders of the country will also participate in the discussion. These include Naib Singh Saini, Vivek Tankha, Nishikant Dubey, Manish Tiwari and Shashi Tharoor. Former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla will also take part in the discussion on issues related to foreign policy.
