The PM Kisan 22nd Installment is expected soon. Farmers must link Aadhaar, complete e-KYC, verify land records, and check status to avoid delays.

Under the PM Kisan scheme, the government provides financial support of Rs 6,000 annually to every eligible farmer in three installments of Rs 2,000 each.
PM Kisan 22nd Installment Date: Even as crores of farmers await the next tranche of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, it is necessary to complete certain mandatory formalities to avoid missing the upcoming installment. The 22nd installment of the PM Kisan scheme is expected to be released soon.
Under the PM Kisan scheme, the government provides financial support of Rs 6,000 annually to every eligible farmer in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. So far, the government has released 21 installments under the scheme, and farmers are now awaiting the 22nd tranche of Rs 2,000.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 21st installment on November 19 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, disbursing around Rs 18,000 crore to more than nine crore farmers. In total, the government has transferred over Rs 4 lakh crore to farmers under the scheme since its launch.
Here are four key things farmers must check and fix to avoid delays in receiving the next installment.
Link Aadhaar With Your Bank Account
The government disburses the PM Kisan amount through the Aadhaar-seeded Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Farmers must ensure that their bank account is correctly linked to their Aadhaar number.
If the linkage is missing or incorrect, the installment may fail. Farmers can update Aadhaar seeding by visiting their bank branch or through online banking facilities.
Complete Your e-KYC
Completing e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) is mandatory for all PM Kisan beneficiaries. Without e-KYC, farmers may not receive the next installment.
Farmers can complete e-KYC in three ways:
OTP-based e-KYC: If Aadhaar is linked to the mobile number, farmers can verify it on the PM Kisan portal using an OTP.
Biometric e-KYC: Farmers can visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for fingerprint authentication.
Facial authentication: CSCs also provide facial recognition-based verification, especially helpful for senior citizens and physically challenged farmers.
According to the scheme’s official website, “eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers.”
Get Your Land Records Verified
Eligibility under the PM Kisan scheme is based on ownership of cultivable land. If land documents are not updated or verified with the state revenue department, the installment may be withheld.
Several states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan have carried out farmer registry and land verification drives. Farmers should ensure their land records are digitised and linked with their Aadhaar and PM Kisan ID.
Check Your Application Status Online
Farmers can check their beneficiary status online on the official portal.
Visit pmkisan.gov.in and click on ‘Know Your Status’ or ‘Beneficiary Status’. Enter the Aadhaar number, registration number or mobile number to check the details.
It is also advisable to verify the bank account details in the profile, including name spelling, IFSC code and account number, to avoid payment delays.
When Is The 22nd Installment Expected?
According to media reports, the 22nd installment of the PM Kisan scheme is expected to be released soon, maybe in March 2026. However, the government has not yet announced the official date.
Under the scheme, farmers receive Rs 2,000 every four months in three installments — April-July, August-November and December-March.
Meanwhile, farmers are advised to complete e-KYC, verify land records and check their beneficiary status to ensure they receive the upcoming payment without delays.
