One of the main accused in the murder of Bangladeshi youth leader Sharif Osman Hadi has released another video, once again denying any involvement in the killing. Faisal Karim Masud, who is named as a key suspect, said he is currently living in Dubai and not in India or Bangladesh, contradicting official claims from Dhaka.
In the video, Masud showed his UAE visa, the same document earlier reported by CNN News18. He said the accusations against him are false and politically motivated. “I am not related to Osman Hadi’s murder directly or indirectly,” he said, adding that “fake and fabricated news” is being spread to frame him.
Masud accused Jamaat-Shibir of being behind Hadi’s murder. He claimed his association with Hadi, a spokesperson of the Inqilab Moncho, was only professional.

What Masud said?
Masud said he runs a company called Apple Soft and has worked as a software engineer and game developer for over a decade. He said he created the “Battle of 1971″ game and received a national award for it in Bangladesh. He also said he has earned between 20 and 30 crore taka through his business.
Masud admitted that he had donated money to Hadi’s party but said it was done in exchange for promised government contracts. He denied funding any illegal activity. He said after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, he had no work and also suffered financial losses. Because of this, he approached Hadi for help, who allegedly asked for five lakh taka in cash, which Masud claims he paid.
He further said Hadi later requested office space and manpower for political rallies. Masud said the people he provided for rallies are also now being wrongly accused in the murder case. He claimed neither he nor those workers had any knowledge of the killing.
According to Masud, Hadi contacted him again for help with a political programme scheduled on December 16. Masud said he delayed his return to Bangladesh to assist Hadi. On the day of the murder, Masud claimed he left the Hadi’s location about 10 minutes before the shooting took place.
Bangladesh conspiracy
Masud also addressed allegations linked to his motorcycle. He said he owns the bike but cannot ride it and that his friend Alamgir was riding it on the day Hadi was killed while he sat behind him. He said they had gone to a resort and that a woman present there was Alamgir’s girlfriend. Masud accused Bangladeshi authorities of targeting her unfairly and questioning her character.
He alleged that police changed the bike number, falsely turned his backpack into an arms bag, and pressured his father, who has suffered two brain strokes, to identify the bike. He described the case against him as “drama”.
Sharif Osman Hadi was shot dead on December 12, 2025, at around 2:25 pm in Dhaka’s Paltan area while leaving a mosque.
