Sabalenka and Sinner reach Sunshine Double finals without dropping a set — a first in history — as both stars close in on a rare and iconic sweep.

If the numbers are anything to go by, we might be witnessing something truly iconic unfold in tennis right now.
According to OptaAcethis is the first time in history that two players, i.e., Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner, have reached the men’s and women’s finals across the Sunshine Double without dropping a single set.
And both of them aren’t done yet.
Sabalenka Stays Ruthless
World No. 1 Sabalenka continued her red-hot form, dispatching Elena Rybakina 6-4, 6-3 to book her spot in the Miami Open final, where she’ll face Coco Gauff.
Sabalenka broke Rybakina twice in each set and backed it up with a dominant serving display, firing nine aces, including a brutal run of four consecutive aces that sucked the life out of the contest.
“I think I did everything right,” Sabalenka said.
With this, she keeps her bid for the elusive Sunshine Double (Indian Wells + Miami) alive, having already beaten Rybakina in a dramatic Indian Wells final earlier this month.
Sinner Steamrolls Again
On the men’s side, Sinner is moving like a man on a mission.
The World No. 2 dismantled Frances Tiafoe 6-2, 6-2 in just 71 minutes to march into the semi-finals. Efficient. Clinical. Relentless.
He dropped just nine points on serve, blasted 14 aces, and piled up 33 winners, all while barely breaking a sweat.
More impressively, Sinner has now stretched his ATP Masters 1000 set-winning streak to 30 straight sets, dating back to last year.
Next up? A familiar test against Alexander Zverev, a rematch of their Indian Wells semi-final.
History Within Reach
The last time both the men’s and women’s Sunshine Double winners emerged in the same year? Back in 2016, when Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka pulled it off.
But Sabalenka and Sinner could go one better — by doing it without dropping a set.
