1. After Deloitte, now Byju’s auditor-BDO resigned: Company CEO Byju Ravindran accused BDO Global of blackmailing

After Deloitte, now the auditor company BDO Global of edtech company Byju’s has resigned. BDO (MSKA & Associates) was appointed as the auditor of Byju’s and Aakash Educational Services for 5 years after Deloitte resigned in June 2023.
Deloitte had resigned as Byju’s auditor citing irregularities. According to a Moneycontrol report, BDO had sought a forensic audit on July 17, a day after Byju’s was declared bankrupt.

2. Gold and silver prices declined this week: Silver fell by ₹1,681 to ₹83,338 per kg, gold fell to ₹71,931 per 10 grams

There has been a decline in the prices of gold and silver this week. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), last Saturday, i.e. on 31st August, gold was at Rs 71,958, which has now come down to Rs 71,931 per 10 grams (7th September). That is, its price has fallen by Rs 27 this week.
Talking about silver, it was at Rs 85,019 last Saturday, which has now come down to Rs 83,338 per kg. This week its price has fallen by Rs 1,681. This year silver reached its all-time high of Rs 94,280 per kg on 29 May. Gold made an all-time high of Rs 74,222 on 21 May.

3. Tata Sons chairman’s salary increased by 20%: N Chandrasekaran gets ₹135 crore in FY 2023-24, CFO’s earnings increased by 8%

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran received a salary of Rs 135 crore in FY 2024, which is 20% higher than the salary of the previous financial year. N Chandrasekaran is the highest paid professional chief of an Indian company.
At the same time, the total salary of all the directors of Tata Sons increased by 16%. The company paid Rs 200 crore to its top directors, which was Rs 172.5 crore in the financial year 2022-23 (FY23). 4. Hexaware plans to raise ₹9,950 crore from IPO: Draft papers submitted to SEBI, will be the biggest IPO ever in the IT segment

IT company Hexaware Technologies is coming up with an initial public offering (IPO) of Rs 9,950 crore. For the IPO, the company has submitted the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) i.e. papers to the capital market regulator Securities Exchange Board of India i.e. SEBI.
This will be the biggest IPO ever in India’s IT services and enterprise tech segment. So far, the biggest IPO in the Indian IT sector was that of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in 2002, worth Rs 4,713 crore. Hexaware is owned by American private equity firm Carlyle.
