More than 85 students have received annual packages exceeding Rs 30 LPA., stated NIT Rourkela.
Students at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela have secured 1274 placement offers and 509 six-month internships, potentially leading to Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), in the recently concluded 2024-25 placement drive.
Across all programmes, the highest CTC recorded this year is Rs 62.44 Lakh Per Annum (LPA). The average CTC for the flagship B.Tech. programme is Rs 14.10 LPA, and for the M.Tech. programme, it is Rs 13.48 LPA. The highest internship offer received this year is Rs 1.26 Lakh Per Month (LPM). More than 85 students have received annual packages exceeding Rs 30 LPA.
For its B.Tech programmes, the institute achieved 82.20% placements, with the Department of Ceramic Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering receiving 97.73%, 97.06%, and 94.48% placement offers respectively.
More than 80% placement was recorded for UG programmes, including Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Metallurgical & Materials Engineering.
This year’s placement drive saw the participation of 373 recruiters, with 48.36% being first-time recruiters. Most companies participating in NIT Rourkela’s placement drive were from the Software and IT Services sector, followed by Manufacturing, BFSI, Electronics, and Education sectors among others.
Top recruiters included Google, AMD, Qualcomm, Wells Fargo, JSW, Amazon, ExxonMobil, DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Barclays, Deloitte, MathWorks, ITC, Texas Instruments, American Express, HP, Bharat Petroleum, and several others.
