According to Forbes India’s Rich List 2025, the net worth of India’s 100 richest people fell by 9% to 1 trillion dollars i.e. about 88 thousand crore rupees. Nearly two-thirds of the people featured in the list have become ‘less rich’ since last year.

At the same time, the net worth of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, despite decreasing by 12%, remains at the top of ₹ 9.32 lakh crore. His net worth has decreased by ₹1.29 lakh crore compared to last year. Gautam Adani is at second place with a net worth of ₹8.17 lakh crore.

There has been a loss of $100 billion in the net worth of the 100 richest people. This loss is due to weak rupee and fall in the stock market.

This decline shows that global market instability, tight capital flow and sluggish mood of investors have affected the wealth of Indian billionaires.
