- NEET UG 2026 Exam Guidelines Issued By NTA; Over 22.79 Lakh Students To Appear

Medical entrance exam NEET UG 2026 will be conducted tomorrow i.e. on 3rd May 2026. According to National Testing Agency (NTA), more than 22.79 lakh candidates have registered for this exam. Students clearing this exam will get admission in MBBS courses in medical colleges.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the dress code and necessary guidelines for the NEET UG examination to be held on May 3, 2026.
Helpline number released:
NTA has released helpline numbers 011-40759000 and 011-69227700 for NEET UG 2026. You can also register your complaint on email neetug2026@nta.ac.in. For other information related to the exam, students keep checking the official websites nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in.

Surveillance through frisking, biometric and CCTV:
Students will be thoroughly frisked before entering the exam centre. Besides, the entire examination process will be monitored through biometric attendance and CCTV cameras.
NEET UG Exam 2026: Qualifying Marks:
- General: 50% qualifying marks
- Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class: 40%
- Disabled: 45% if general category.
Last year 20.8 lakh candidates had given the exam.
In the year 2025, NEET-UG was organized on 4th May at more than 5 thousand centers across the country. More than 22.7 lakh candidates had registered for NEET UG. There were 13.76 lakh girls and 9.98 lakh boys. In this way 20.8 lakh candidates had appeared in this examination.
