Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam, has released an official notification inviting applications from ITI-qualified Indian candidates for various Apprenticeship Training posts. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online by visiting the official website of the Indian Navy at joinindiannavy.gov.in. The vacancies are for a period of one year at Naval Dockyard Apprentices School, Visakhapatnam, [DAS (Vzg)] for the apprenticeship training batch 2025-26 in accordance with the Apprentices Act 1961.
It is to be noted that the last date to apply for the posts is January 2, 2025. The written examination for all trades will be conducted on February 28, 2025, while the results for the same will be announced on March 4, 2025. In addition to this, the training will commence on May 2, 2025.

Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: To be eligible to apply, candidates should have passed SSC/ Matric/ Class 10 with 50 percent aggregate marks. Moreover, they must possess 65 percent (aggregate) in ITI (NCVT/ SCVT). It is to be noted that SSC/matriculation and ITI certificates without marks, percentages, grades, or grade points will not be accepted.
Age Limit: According to the Apprentices Act 1961, the minimum age of candidates must be 14, and for hazardous occupations, it is 18. Accordingly, candidates should be born on or before May 2, 2011 to be eligible. There is no upper age limit for apprenticeship training, according to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) office memorandum No. F.No. MSDE-14(03)/2021 AP-(PMU) dated 20 Dec 21.
Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
Applicants will have to undergo a four-tiered selection process. It will comprise shortlisting candidates, a written exam, an interview (document verification and oral test), and a medical examination.
Speaking about the written exam, it will include 75 multiple-choice questions (Mathematics 30, General Science 30, General Knowledge 15) in the English language, with each question worth one mark. The exam will be conducted for one hour, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam Recruitment 2024 Stipend: Candidates can expect a monthly stipend of Rs 7700 for one year and Rs 8050 for two years of ITI certificate holders.
