In fact, police constable Rahul Chauhan and his wife Jayashree have accused Reserve Inspector Saurabh Kushwaha of assaulting and abusing them.
It is alleged that RI Saurabh Kushwaha beat up Rahul Chauhan with a belt for losing his pet dog. After a video of this incident went viral on social media, the matter was taken seriously.
The victim constable Rahul Chauhan lodged a complaint at Ajak police station and demanded an FIR against the protected inspector, but no appropriate action was taken even after a day passed by the police administration.
Meanwhile, tribal organizations like Jayas received information about this incident, which expressed outrage and started a sit -in demonstration in front of Ajak police station.
The activists of the tribal organization came down on the National Highway and surrounded the police station. Traffic was interrupted by this performance.
As soon as the information was received, SDOP Rohit Lakhare and Police Station Incharge BL Mandloi reached the spot with heavy police force. But the people of the tribal organization were adamant on registering an FIR and suspending the accused RI Saurabh Kushwaha.
Given this serious situation Khargone SP Dharmaraj Meena, taking strict action, suspended RI Saurabh Kushwaha. The investigation of this case has been investigated to ASP Antarsih Kanesh of Burhanpur. DIG Siddharth Bahuguna is also monitoring the investigation. The tribal organization has warned to continue the agitation till the FIR is registered and the culprits are punished.
