According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Madhya Pradesh can reach 40 degrees Celsius in March itself. Light rain is also expected in the first week of March, while the heat will start showing its effect from the second week. Along with the day, the nights will also be hot.
The mercury has reached 32 degrees Celsius in both Punjab and Haryana. The temperature in Faridkot, Punjab has been recorded at 32.3 degrees, while Bathinda has also recorded a temperature of 32.3 degrees. At the same time, the temperature was 32.2°C in Narnaul of Haryana, 32.4°C in Bhiwani, 32.6°C in Gurugram and 32.7°C in Nuh.
The mercury also reached 35.4 degrees in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The Meteorological Department said that with the continuously increasing temperature, the effect of heat during the day will increase. On the other hand, heat has started increasing in Uttarakhand also. The mercury has been recorded at 29°C in the capital Dehradun.
