Premier League leaders Arsenal hold a nine-point lead over former champions Manchester City following the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Everton and City’s draw against West Ham. Mikel Arteta’s team tops the table with 70 points from 31 games, while Pep Guardiola’s City have 61 points from 30 games.

Guardiola’s men, who had to settle for a point at West Ham, voiced that his side were punished for not converting the chances they were able to create.

City midfielder Rodri opined that Pep Guardiola and Co. would push for the crown until the very end and felt that they have the experience required to play catch-up.

“We’re not going to drop hands, we’re going to keep fighting”. the former Ballon d’Or winner said.

“We know it’s going to be difficult because we have this experience of what you need to win,” he continued.

“I think the distance is too far but we’re going to fight until the end. Now is a moment of no regrets,” the Spaniard added.

Despite the gap between the top-two sides, Guardiola opined that the title race is far from over and could throw up a surprise or two.

“It’s not over. Who said that? We didn’t lose. We will continue,” he said.

“Nine points is a lot against Arsenal but it happened. We have the game at home so we have to try until the end.

“When it is not possible then we congratulate the champion but we have to try.”

“We have an incredible team, spirit. We had an incredible amount of effort in Madrid. The last two games, we played much, much better,” Guardiola said.

“We are an incredible team. We play so good. The guys go and go until we can’t continue. But we didn’t score enough goals when we had the quality and they punished us.”

“It’s so difficult but we have a game in hand, this game at home against Arsenal. I’m not saying it will be easy to beat them but there is hope. Always, you have to be there,” he said.

The draw came as another setback for the side from Manchester after their 3-0 defeat by Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League midweek, as Fede Valverde dismantled the City side with a hat-trick.
