Prime Minister Modi addressed the inaugural ceremony of India Mobile Congress 2025.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the 9th edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 at Yashobhoomi in Delhi. It is Asia’s largest telecom, media and technology event. PM also addressed the program.

He said- When I talked about ‘Make in India’, some people used to make fun of it. They have got the answer. The country which once struggled with 2G, today 5G has reached all the districts of the same country. Today, 1GB of wireless data costs less than a cup of tea in India.

PM said- India has launched Made in India 4G stack. Now India has come in the list of those 5 countries which have this capability. The whole world is recognizing India’s potential. We have the second largest telecom and 5G market in the world. This is the right time to invest, innovate and build in India.

Scindia said- India which follows technology is at the forefront today

Addressing the program, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said- Today our telecom revolution is based on four ‘D’ – Democracy, Demography, Digital First and Delivery. In 2014, the price of 1GB data used to be ₹287. Today the same 1GB data costs only ₹9.11.

Jyotiraditya Scindia said- This is not just a telecom revolution. This is the revolution of developed India. Skills give us power, security gives us confidence and sovereignty makes us self-reliant. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India is changing from a world dependent country to a self-reliant India.

Union Communications Minister said- Today twenty countries around the world are discussing to adopt India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) model. India, which has adopted and adopted technology from other countries, has today become the digital flag bearer of the world.

More than 1.5 lakh speakers from more than 150 countries will participate. Indian Mobile Congress will run from 8 to 11 October. In this, companies, startups and experts from India and abroad will present new technologies. More than 1.5 lakh speakers, more than 7000 global delegates and more than 400 companies from more than 150 countries including India, Canada, Japan, Britain, Russia will participate in it.

The Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release that the event has been jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). This year the theme of the program is “Innovate to Transform”.

Topics like 6G, AI and cyber security will be discussed in the event. This time, India Mobile Congress will focus on Optical Communication, Semiconductors in Telecom, Quantum Communication, 6G and Fraud Risk Indicators, reflecting India’s strategic priorities in next generation connectivity, digital sovereignty, cyber fraud prevention and global technology leadership.

More than 1,600 new technological innovations will be introduced at IMC 2025, spanning areas such as 5G/6G, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Mobility, Quantum Computing, Cyber ​​Security and Green Technology. During this period, more than 100 technical sessions and more than 800 speakers will present their views.
