The protesters from the Telangana Jagruthi, an organisation led by BRS MLC K Kavitha, vandalised the office, damaging furniture and shattering window panes, said officials.
The protesters stormed the Q News office to protest against Mallanna’s alleged remarks targeting BRS MLC K Kavitha, as well as her Backwards Class Movement in the state.

Several videos of the protest went viral on social media, with some footage suggesting that the room was splattered with blood.
Kavitha’s BC Movement
K Kavitha on Tuesday called on the Congress-led Telangana government to issue a Government Order (GO) ensuring reservations for backwards classes in local bodies, citing Article 243D of the Constitution, which empowers the state to make such provisions.
Addressing the media in New Delhi, Kavitha appealed to AICC leader Rahul Gandhi to direct Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to implement the reservation policy.
“Rahul Gandhi talks about caste census across the country, calling it the Telangana model. It is actually a Congress corruption model,” she said.
Kavitha pointed out that the Congress had come to power in Telangana with a promise of providing 42 per cent reservation for backwards classes in local body elections.
