EPFO members will soon be able to withdraw PF money from UPI and ATM. Users will also be able to check their PF balance through UPI.
If you are an EPF subscriber and want to see your account details, then your universal account number (UAN) should be connected to bank account, Aadhaar or PAN. Here we are showing 5 easy ways to see PF account details:
1. Use of EPFO Member Portal
Requirements: UAN, registered mobile number, and password
Steps:
- Go to EPFO Member Portal: epfindia.gov.in
- Go to the “For Employees” section and click “Member Passbook”.
- Log in using your UAN, Password and Captcha.
- Select Member ID (PF account number) to see details like PF balance, contribution, and interest.
Advantage: Detaild view of passbook, downloadable statement.
Note: For the use of this service, your UAN should be active and link to Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account.
2. Umang App
Requirements: Smartphone, registered mobile number, UAN
Steps:
- Download the Umang App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Register or log in using your mobile number.
- Find “EPFOs” in the app and choose “Employees Concentrated Services”.
- Log in from UAN, OTP or password to check PF balance or passbook.
Advantage: Convenient mobile access, many government services in one app.
3. EPFO Mobile App
Requirements: UAN, registered mobile number, EPFO app
Steps:
- Download the EPFO App (M-EPF) from the app store.
- Log in with UAN and password or OTP.
- Access PF balance, passbook, or claim status.
Advantage: User-Fredley Interface, Quick Access to PF Details.
4. via SMS
Requirements: Registered mobile number related to UAN
Steps:
- Send SMS to EPFOHO UAN ENG format on 7738299899.
- You can also replace “Eng” with your favorite language code (for example, hin for Hindi).
- PF balance details will be found through SMS.
Advantage: No need for internet, quick response.
Note: This service works only when UAN is associated with Aadhaar, PAN, and bank details.
5. Missed Call Service
Requirements: Registered mobile number related to UAN
Steps:
- Give a missed call on 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.
- PF balance details will be found through SMS.
Advantage: Free internet or app is not required.
Note: Your UAN should be active and connected to the mobile number.
Big change in PF withdrawal process
Recently, EPFO has changed the claim settlement process of PF account. The employees will no longer need to upload a cancel check or bank passbook image to get the name verified while withdrawing money.
Along with this, the approval of the employer has also been removed from the bank seeding process in UAN while opening the PF account. The EPFO member will now be able to verify bank account number and IFSC code through Aadhaar OTP.
Will be able to withdraw PF money from ATM and UPI
EPFO members will soon be able to withdraw PF money from UPI and ATM. Its limit will be up to one lakh rupees. This facility is expected to begin by the last or early June this year.
For this, employees will be given EPFO withdrawal card like debit cards. Users will also be able to check their PF balance through UPI. Currently, EPFO members take up to 2 weeks in online claim process.
