Candidates currently pursuing their Master’s degree (first or second year) or awaiting final results may also apply. These candidates will be admitted provisionally and must submit proof of passing the Master’s degree with the required percentage within two years from the date of the KSET result to receive the eligibility certificate. PhD holders whose Master’s level examination was completed by September 19, 1991, are eligible for a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks.
Candidates must appear for KSET in the subject of their postgraduate study. If their subject is not listed under KSET, they should apply for UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET. The KEA has clarified that candidates previously declared eligible in a KSET exam cannot reappear for the same subject.
