The Red Bull Four 2 Score National Finals wrapped up in Coimbatore.
Featuring amateur talent from across India, the high-octane 4v4 format once again proved why it’s a breeding ground for grassroots stars.
Built on Red Bull’s ‘power football’ philosophy, the format is unforgiving: 10-minute games, no breaks, no goalkeeper, and double-value goals in the opening and closing minutes. If teams are tied, it comes down to a one-on-one duel.
Adding to the buzz was Mumbai City FC and Indian national team forward Vikram Pratap Singh, who was present at the event.
At the heart of it all? A dramatic finish.
Kochi’s Kalina Rangers clinched their maiden national title thanks to a sudden-death golden goal by Tyson Patel, sealing their place at the World Finals in Canada later this year.
Teams from 10 cities battled through weeks of qualifiers, bringing skill, grit, and serious hunger to the pitch. By the time the National Finals kicked off, only the sharpest remained.
Kalina Rangers, originally from Mumbai but qualifying through Kochi, weren’t the obvious favourites. In fact, they stunned crowd favourites MRFC A in a nail-biting final, once again via a sudden-death golden goal.
The final was relentless, with both teams pushing hard in an end-to-end contest. But the Rangers held their nerve, delivering an encore performance to book their ticket to the 2026 World Final.
“We are ecstatic about the win at the Red Bull Four 2 Score India Finals, after putting in the hard work and beating the top teams in the country. But now the focus shifts to the World Finals in Canada. We are going there to win & not just to participate,” said Scott Moraes.
Vikram Pratap Singh added, “I used to play a lot of futsal in the start of my footballing career. There is more quickness involved in this game.
“Red Bull Four 2 Score gives a great platform to young grassroots stars to showcase their talent. I congratulate Kalinga Rangers on winning their maiden Red Bull Four 2 Score tournament.”
