The government was asked a question in the Parliament whether sabotage angle into the Air India-171 crash is being investigated.

Making it clear that every aspect is being investigated in connection with the Air India-171 crash case, the government indicated in the Parliament on Monday that no angle has been ruled out yet, including that of sabotage.
In a written reply given in the Rajya Sabha to an unstarred question raised by YSRCP MP Yerram Venkata Subba Reddy, the government said that the probe is underway from all angles that may have led to the crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, which killed 241 on board.
“Will the Minister of CIVIL AVIATION be pleased to state (a status of investigation of AI 171 crashed in Ahmedabad by Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau?; (b) whether the investigation is also looking at the angle of sabotage?” the question asked.
Responding to the question, Minister of State in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol, wrote, “Every aspect is being looked into for determining the probable cause(s)/contributory factor(s) leading to the accident.”
