Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) reported a 32.75% year-on-year (YoY) rise in its profit to Rs 308 crore in the first quarter (April-June) of FY 2024-25. The company’s consolidated net profit stood at Rs 232 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
IRCTC released its first quarter results today i.e. on 13th August. The consolidated revenue i.e. income from the company’s operations has increased by 11.88% on an annual basis.
Revenue in the first quarter was ₹ 1,120 crore
Revenue from operations stood at ₹1,120 crore in the first quarter of FY25. Revenue stood at ₹1,001 crore in the same quarter a year ago i.e. the first quarter of FY24.
IRCTC gave 41% return in one year
IRCTC’s stock today fell 0.69% to close at ₹918. In the last one year, the company’s stock has given investors a return of 41.31%. In the last 6 months, the stock has risen by only 0.83%. The company’s market cap is Rs 73.44 thousand crores.

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is a ‘Mini Ratna (Category-I)’ Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. IRCTC was incorporated on 27 September 1999 as a branch of the Indian Railways.
Its objective is to manage catering and hospitality at stations, trains and other places. Along with this, it promotes domestic and international tourism through the development of budget hotels, special tour packages, information and commercial publicity and global reservation system. The corporate office of IRCTC is located in New Delhi.
