The central fault line heading into the talks is Lebanon. Iran insists the ceasefire covers Israeli strikes there. Washington and Israel say it does not. Israel carried out its most intense strikes on Lebanon this week, killing more than 200 people and Tehran has warned it could walk away from talks if the bombing continues.
