Iran-Israel-US War News Live: Israel Strikes Hezbollah Targets In Beirut; Kuwait Intercepts Missiles, Drones

US-Israel-Iran War Latest News Updates Today: Amid rising tensions in West Asia, US President Donald Trump on Monday extended his deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, saying Washington would delay any strike on Iranian power plants for five more days.

Trump said US envoys were in talks with a “respected” Iranian leader and claimed Tehran wanted to “make a deal.” However, Iranian officials denied any direct negotiations, asserting that the US leader had stepped back after what they described as a firm warning from Tehran.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had spoken with Trump, adding that the US President believed recent US-Israeli military gains in Iran could be leveraged into a negotiated agreement that safeguards Israel’s interests.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Tehran had received messages from “some friendly countries” indicating a US request for talks to end the conflict, according to news agency IRNA.

Tehran has also threatened to deploy naval mines in the Gulf and target power and water infrastructure across the region if its islands and coasts are attacked, raising fears of a deepening energy crisis. Meanwhile, two India-flagged LPG carriers — Jag Vasant and Pine Gas — transited the strait on Monday evening, India’s Shipping Ministry said.
