The 19th season of IPL will start from March 28.
The schedule of the second phase of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been released. The IPL committee gave this information on its social media handle at 6 pm. 50 matches will be played at 12 venues from April 13 to May 24. There will be 8 double headers.
Defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore made Raipur their second home ground, the team will play 2 matches here. In the first phase, 20 matches are to be held from March 28 to April 12. The schedule of the playoffs has not been announced, but the final will be played on May 31 in Bengaluru.
There will be only 74 matches, not 84. Only 74 matches will be played in the tournament. There will be 70 matches in the league stage, while 4 matches will be played in the playoff stage. Earlier there were reports that there would be 84 matches this season, but the IPL committee did not increase the number of matches.

MI vs CSK match on 23 April The second phase will start with the match of Sunrisers Hyderabad, but this time the team will face Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad. In the first phase, the team will play the first match against RCB on the ground of Bengaluru.
The two most successful teams in IPL history, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, will face each other for the first time on April 23 in Mumbai. Both will face each other again on May 2 in Chennai. There will be 2 matches on the last day of the league stage. Mumbai will face Rajasthan in the afternoon, while Kolkata team will face Delhi in the evening.

Hyderabad-Delhi will play 4-4 matches in the afternoon. Among the 10 teams, Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans are the only two teams whose matches will be held only once in the afternoon. Both the teams will play 13-13 matches in the evening. Maximum 4-4 matches of Hyderabad and Delhi will start at 3.30 pm. Punjab and Lucknow have to play 3-3 matches in the afternoon. There are 2 matches each of Rajasthan, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru in the afternoon. Double headers will be played for a total of 12 days.
Chennai Super Kings will play only 1 match in the afternoon.
Raipur and Dharamshala are the second home grounds of 2 teams. There are 10 teams in IPL. All will play 7 matches on their home ground and 7 matches on the home ground of the opposition team. Apart from 10 home grounds of 10 teams, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings have chosen 2-2 home grounds. Rajasthan will play its first 3 home matches in Guwahati, while 4 matches will be played in Jaipur. Bengaluru’s other home grounds are Raipur and Mullanpur in Punjab.
Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Dharamshala, Raipur, Mullanpur and Guwahati are the 13 venues of the tournament. There will be 70 matches of league stage here. Four matches of the playoff will be played in Mullanpur and Bengaluru, but their dates are yet to be announced.
