An Indian-origin man in the US is facing an expanding list of criminal charges, including sex trafficking, rape and child exploitation, after more survivors came forward during an ongoing investigation, according to multiple US media reports.
Kulvir S Brar, a liquor store owner based in the city of Vancouver in the state of Washington, was rearrested on March 13 for allegedly using Snapchat to lure minors into sexual activity by offering drugs, alcohol and other incentives. The case has drawn significant attention due to the scale of allegations and the number of survivors involved, as reported by the local news outlets, KPTV and The Columbian.
Authorities allege that Brar specifically targeted underage girls, in some cases as young as 13, by contacting them on social media, complimenting their appearance and building trust before offering substances such as cocaine, ecstasy and LSD. In exchange, he allegedly demanded sex or explicit images. He also reportedly used promises of access to his upscale apartment and rooftop pool as an additional lure.
Investigators have so far identified at least eight survivors, aged between 14 and 19, though officials believe the actual number could be higher. Police said the pattern of behaviour suggests a deliberate and sustained effort to exploit vulnerable minors over a prolonged period.
Brar was first arrested on December 4, 2025, on charges including communication with a minor for immoral purposes and possession of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Since then, the case has widened dramatically.
He now faces 39 additional charges, including multiple counts of sex trafficking, rape of a child, molestation, sexual exploitation of a minor, and distributing controlled substances to minors, according to KPTV.
Court records cited by The Columbian show that the investigation began in July 2025, when the Oregon Department of Human Services alerted police to a complaint by a 15-year-old girl. She alleged that a man known as “Molly” coerced her into performing sexual acts in exchange for vape products. Detectives later linked the Snapchat handle “pnwmolly” to Brar.
Police say Brar preyed on particularly vulnerable individuals. In one case, a 16-year-old girl whose family had recently become homeless was allegedly assaulted while heavily intoxicated. Another survivor reported being raped on her birthday after being supplied with drugs and alcohol to the point where she could barely remain conscious.
Prosecutors further allege that Brar attempted to intimidate survivors, claiming he had financial resources and strong legal representation, and at one point showed a firearm to reinforce those claims.
A search of his residence uncovered cocaine, MDMA, psilocybin mushrooms, packaging materials, a SIG Sauer pistol, vaping devices and other items investigators believe are linked to the alleged offences, according to The Columbian.
On March 16, Clark County Superior Court Judge Christine Hayes increased Brar’s bail from $500,000 to $750,000, citing the number of alleged victims and describing him as a “considerable threat” to the community.
Brar posted bail and was released, reported the US news outlet KOIN news. He was originally scheduled for arraignment on the new charges on March 24, but the date has been moved to April 1. His jury trial is currently set for September 28, 2026.
