Top IIMs across the country have reported strong placement outcomes for 2025, with salary packages climbing steadily despite market fluctuations. IIM Calcutta recorded one of the highest domestic packages at Rs 1.45 crore per annum, while IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore continued to dominate the top-tier hiring landscape, especially in consulting, finance, and strategy roles.
Several IIMs have seen significant improvement in their average salary brackets, with many now crossing the Rs 30 lakh mark. Recruiters such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, HUL, Tata Administrative Services, JP Morgan and Accenture Strategy have led the hiring trends, offering coveted roles in consulting, investment banking, product management and leadership tracks.

Interestingly, IIM Bangalore – despite not disclosing the highest CTC figure this season – continues to remain one of India’s strongest MBA brands, as reflected in its average salary of Rs 34.88 lakh. Meanwhile, newer IIMs such as Raipur, Nagpur, Sambalpur and Jammu are steadily building a strong placement track record, narrowing the gap with older campuses.
For MBA aspirants, these numbers signal continued dominance of IIM graduates in high-paying corporate roles, with consulting, finance and product leadership emerging as the most lucrative career paths in 2025.
