Kristin Cabot Salary: Kristin Cabot, the former Chief People Officer at artificial intelligence firm Astronomer, has officially exited the company, a representative confirmed to TMZ on Thursday. Her departure comes just days after CEO Andy Byron—who was seen with Cabot in a cozy moment at a Coldplay concert in Houston—stepped down from his role.

As both executives leave the $1.3 billion tech firm, attention has turned to Cabot’s compensation during her tenure.

Who Is Kristin Cabot?

Prior to her hiring, Cabot was recognised in Silicon Valley for her skill in maintaining and scaling company culture amid fast-paced growth. She has 20 years of experience in people and culture leadership, and joined the company as Chief People Officer in November 2024. She had previously worked with Neo4j, ObserveIT and ProofPoint. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Gettysburg College.

“Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory,” Bryon said at the time of her hiring.

“She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies and her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”

Kristin Cabot’s Salary

Cabot joined Astronomer in November 2024 and spent just over eight months at the company. While her exact salary has not been disclosed, industry benchmarks suggest a strong estimate based on her experience and seniority.

With over two decades of experience in human resources and leadership roles at companies like Neo4j, ObserveIT, and Proofpoint, Cabot brought significant expertise to Astronomer. For someone in a top HR position at a high-growth tech firm, the typical salary range falls between $250,000 and $330,000 annually, according to Salary.com.

In addition to base pay, compensation likely included performance bonuses, equity grants, and other executive-level benefits—standard for C-suite roles in well-funded startups.

Leadership Shakeup at Astronomer

Astronomer has yet to issue a formal statement on Cabot’s exit. The confirmation came only through a comment to TMZ. Her resignation follows that of former CEO Andy Byron, who stepped down on July 19. Company co-founder Pete DeJoy has taken over as interim CEO while the search for a permanent replacement is underway.
