HCL Tech CEO C. Vijaykumar is the highest salary head in the Indian IT industry. He received a salary of Rs 94.6 crore in FY 2024-25. At number two in the list is CEO Salil Parekh of Infosys, he received a package of ₹ 80.6 crore.

Tech Mahindra’s Mohit Joshi is the top in the list with a package of ₹ 53.9 crore, CEO Srin Pallaya ₹ 53.6 crore from Wipro and Kriti Vasan of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) ₹ 26.5 crore.

₹ 56.9 crore stock in a package of 94.6 crore

Vijayakumar’s package includes base salary ₹ 15.8 crore, Performance Linked Bonus 13.9 Crore, Long Term Restricted Stock Unit (RSUS) ₹ 56.9 crore and additional bonus of Rs 1.7 crore.

Vijayakumar’s salary 663 times more than average employee

According to the TOI report, C Vijaykumar received 7.9% salary hiq in FY 2024-25. Whereas, the salary of general employees was increased by just 3.1% average. During this time Vijaykumar’s remuneration was 662.5 times the salary of the average employee.

The company’s board has also extended their tenure based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Removing Committee (NRC). Vijayakumar will now hold the post of MD and CEO of the company till 31 March, 2030.

Vijaykumar made CEO in 2016 and MD in 2021

C Vijayakumar (CVK) is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director of HCL Technologies (HCLTECH). Vijay was made the company’s CEO in 2026 and later in July 2021 he was also given the responsibility of the company’s MD.

Hcltech, led by him, has achieved a lot in the fields of digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, Cyber Security and other emerging technology.

CVK was born on 13 October 1967 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He completed his schooling from The Lawrence School Lovedale in Ooty. Subsequently, he gave PSG of Tamil Nadu. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the College of Technology. He currently lives in New Jersey, USA with his wife Vanita and daughter Divya.

HCL has a profit of ₹ 3,843 crore in the first quarter of Q1Fy26

The total earnings i.e. total income in the first quarter of IT company HCL Tech was Rs 30,805 crore. This is 6% higher than last year. Revenue in this earnings of the company was Rs 30,349 crore from the operation. In the April to June quarter, the company’s total expenditure stood at Rs 25,616 crore and paid a tax of Rs 1,345 crore.

If the cost and tax is reduced from the total income, then the company got a net profit of Rs 3,843 crore in the first quarter. This is 10% less than last year. HCL Tech released the results of the April-June quarter (Q1fy26, first quarter) on Monday (July 14).
