As per official data, there are around 6,700 MBBS seats and over 1,200 BDS seats across government, private, and deemed medical colleges in Gujarat.

Following the completion of the first round of NEET UG counselling in Gujarat, 1,169 MBBS and BDS seats remain vacant. To fill in the seats, the state Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Courses (ACPUGMEC) will commence the round 2 registration process and choice filling on August 29. Students can check the Gujarat NEET UG seat allotment list at medadmgujarat.org.
Of the total vacant seats, 654 are of MBBS and 153 are for BDS courses. As per media reports, 6,827 seats were allocated during the initial counselling round, however, 1,169 candidates did not report, resulting in a significant number of unfilled seats in both government and private medical and dental colleges.
Gujarat NEET UG Counselling 2025: How To Register For Round 2?
Step 1: Visit the official website at medadmgujarat.org.
Step 2: Click on the ‘UG Medical Counselling’ section on the homepage.
Step 3: Select the link for NEET UG 2025 Registration.
Step 4: Fill in the required details, create a password, and submit the registration form.
Step 5: Pay the registration fee online and save the confirmation page.
Step 6: Download the filled NEET UG counselling form and take a printout for future use.

— NEET UG 2025 admit card and scorecard
— Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates
— Birth certificate (if not mentioned in Class 10 certificate)
— Category certificate (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates, if applicable)
— Domicile certificate (for State Quota seats)
— Passport-size photographs (same as uploaded in NEET application)
— Migration certificate (if applicable)
— Medical fitness certificate

The new academic session will begin on September 5, 2025. “Students who have paid the tuition fee at the designated help center in the first round, submitted the original documents and received the admission order from the admission committee are informed that the academic session of the undergraduate courses (UG Courses) will start from 5th September 2025. Any change in the starting date of the academic session will be announced on the official website of the admission committee,” states the official notice.
