Nepal’s politics is once again going through a round of turmoil. After the appointment of interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki and the dissolution of Parliament, dissatisfaction has now intensified within political parties.
Legendary leaders of big parties have been engulfed in their respective parties and the pressure of resignation is increasing. 8 major parties, including Nepali Congress, CPN-Kumar and Maoist Center, have termed the dissolution of Parliament unconstitutional.

3 names final for Karki cabinet

According to sources, 3 names have been finalized for Karki cabinet. Former Finance Secretary Rameshor Khanal has been selected as Finance Minister, advocate Om Prakash Aryal as Home Minister and former head of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kurtman Ghising as Energy and Irrigation Minister.
Ghising has also been entrusted with the responsibility of two other ministries – physical infrastructure and transportation, and urban development. These three leaders can take oath on Monday. According to sources, the remaining ministerial posts will be discussed later.
Savita Bhandari becomes Nepal’s first woman Attorney General
For the first time in Nepal, a woman has been made Attorney General. Senior Advocate Savita Bhandari Baral was appointed by President Ramchandra Paudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

PM Karki Boli- 27 hours agitation in Nepal for the first time
After taking charge, Nepal’s interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki said on Sunday that those killed in the Gen-Z movement would be declared martyrs.
Along with this, compensation of 10 lakh Nepali rupees will also be given to the families of the victims. The death toll in Nepal violence has increased to 72, including 1 Indian woman.
Karki also pledged to end corruption. He had said, “For the first time there was a continuous agitation in Nepal for 27 hours.” After assuming the PM post on 12 September, Karki was given the responsibility of holding the general election on 5 March 2026 in Nepal.
Gen-Z leaders said- will not join the government, but will monitor
On Friday, President Ramchandra Paudel also announced the dissolution of Parliament. The Communist Party of former PM KP Oli (UML) has opposed this decision.
UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has appealed to party workers to hit the streets against it.
At the same time, Gen-Z leaders refused to join this government. He says that he will not join the government, but will monitor the functioning of the government.
