From the tennis world, six-time Grand Slam champion Stefan Edberg was spotted enjoying the final in the stands, while 1976 French Open winner Adriano Panatta also made an appearance at the Monte-Carlo Masters.
Meanwhile, Sinner defeated Alcaraz in straight sets to clinch his maiden Monte Carlo Masters title on Sunday, reclaiming the world No. 1 ranking from his Spanish rival.
Sinner beat Alcaraz 7-6 (7/5), 6-3 to seal his third ATP 1000 title of the year, having already completed the ‘Sunshine Double’ with wins at Indian Wells and Miami last month.
At 24, Sinner has joined Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal as only the third player to win four successive ATP 1000 titles, having also won in Paris at the end of last season.
It was the first meeting between Sinner and Alcaraz since the former prevailed at the ATP Finals in November.
Sinner, who is now 7-10 in his career against Alcaraz, will return to the top of the rankings on Monday.
Sinner has won his last 17 matches and has become the first man since Djokovic in 2015 to win the first three ATP 1000 titles of the season.
