India has taken the lead in the startup ecosystem of Asia-Pacific. 100 promising startups from 16 countries have been selected in Forbes Asia’s ‘100 Startups to Watch’ list for 2025.
India is at the forefront in this with 18 startups. This also includes companies with value up to ₹8779 crore. The list presents a picture of regional innovation, where the focus is increasing on AI, deeptech and sustainable solutions.
Forbes report says that this performance of India shows the strength of the youth ecosystem. India has become in a position to compete with America and China in just two decades.
Indian startups have developed globally scalable models by solving local challenges. That means they can easily expand with increasing demand without increasing much cost or resources.
