According to the Forbes World’s Billionaires 2026 list, 24 billionaires have increased in India within a year. Their number has increased to 229 by 2025. This year saw the sharpest jump in the wealth of the country’s fourth richest person, Lakshmi Mittal.

Due to the rise of more than 80% in the shares of his company ArcelorMittal, his total wealth has reached $ 31 billion, i.e. Rs 2.87 lakh crore. In the last one year, his wealth has increased by 20 billion dollars, i.e. Rs 1.85 lakh crore.

According to this, Mittal has earned a record average of Rs 274 crore every day throughout the year. Physicswala founders Alakh Pandey and Prateek Boom have also been included in this list.

Uday Kotak’s new entry in top-10

At number three is Savitri Jindal, chairperson of OP Jindal Group. She remains the richest woman in India. The list includes 20 Indian women billionaires.

Uday Kotak, founder of Kotak Mahindra Bank, has joined the top-10 this year. Recently he received Padma Bhushan. Due to his entry, property developer Kushal Pal Singh, who was behind DLF, slipped to 12th position.

Paytm founder returns to the list after 3 years

Alakh Pandey and Prateek Boom, founders of edtech platform Physicswala, are also among the new billionaires. He joined this club after the company’s IPO in November.
