The move could make the UAE the first Gulf nation to directly enter the conflict as a combatant, following recent Iranian attacks on its territory.
Meanwhile, authorities in Dubai said on Tuesday that they “contained” a Kuwaiti oil tanker after it came under attack from Iran. Officials said there was “no oil leakage and no injuries reported”.
