After CBI, now ED is going to enter in the bribery case of Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar. ED is reaching CBI office in Chandigarh on Tuesday. Where she will take records of those IAS and IPS officers including DIG Bhullar, who have created benami property.

So far, information has been received about 50 officers of Punjab in the investigation of CBI DIG Bhullar and the middleman Krishna Sharda caught with him. CBI has also prepared a list of whose names.

With the entry of ED, the problems of the officers of Punjab may increase because as soon as the records are taken, the ED team will send a notice and call these officers for questioning in the case of benami property.

CBI had recovered Rs 7.5 crore cash from Bhullar’s house in Chandigarh.

Know, what information did CBI get about the officers of Punjab…

1. Names of 14 officers found during interrogation of DIG CBI took 5 days remand for the first time after arresting DIG Bhullar. According to CBI sources, DIG Bhullar told that Punjab officers invest in property through Patiala-based property dealer Bhupinder Singh. During this inquiry, CBI came to know about 14 such officers. In which there were 10 IPS and 4 IAS officers.

When CBI investigated, it was found that 8 out of 10 IPS are still posted on important posts in the field. While 2 are in Punjab Police Academy. Apart from this, 4 IAS officers are related to Mandi Gobindgarh in some way or the other. After this, CBI raided the property dealer’s premises in Patiala and Ludhiana and seized documents.

2. Links of 50 officers found from middleman Krishna’s mobile During the appearance of DIG Harcharan Bhullar and middleman Krishna Sharda in the CBI court, the investigating agency had presented a progress report. In which it was said that in the last remand, Krishna Sharda’s mobile and other electronic devices were searched. Through which it was revealed that he was involved in corrupt dealings of many officers.

On the basis of data, CBI said that Krishna along with the officers not only influenced the investigation of the cases but also did work ranging from transfer-posting, getting arms license to registering FIR or getting the already registered FIR dismissed. There are about 50 such officers, which also include IAS and IPS officers.

Names will come out as soon as ED records are taken According to CBI sources, records related to the facts revealed so far regarding benami property will be handed over to ED on Tuesday. After this, the names of those officers can be revealed, whose links have been found in the investigation and interrogation of DIG Bhullar and middleman Krishna Sharda, who was caught in the bribery case of Rs 5 lakh from a scrap businessman.
