Dhurandhar 2’s Udaybir Sandhu says working with Ranveer Singh becomes a cakewalk

Actor Udaybir Sandhu who plays Pinda in Dhurandhar 2 opened up about his collaborative experience with co-star Ranveer Singh. The actor spoke about the supportive environment on set, crediting both Ranveer and director Aditya Dhar for allowing creative freedom and making performances feel natural and immersive.

In a conversation with pinkvillaSandhu shared that working alongside Ranveer made even intense scenes feel effortless.

He said, “He is such a warm person, makes you feel really comfortable that after a point, one feels that yes, we can do this scene. It becomes a cakewalk. He also gives a lot of feedbacks which worked a lot for me.

“As a co-actor, he is very secure, which usually actors aren’t. They think, oh, the other actor is overpowering and showing better But he is such a sweet soul, such a good actor. I think it is the best quality for an actor, that he is secure of his art,” he added.

He further highlighted that the team fostered spontaneity during shoots, revealing that a significant portion of his lines – around 30 – 40 percent – was improvised.

The actor noted that both Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh gave him ample space during scenes, with Ranveer often encouraging additional takes without any sense of rush.

He added that Ranveer remained deeply invested, never leaving the set and delivering his dialogues with full intensity even when the camera was focused on him, which greatly supported his performance.

Udaybir’s character Pinda has become a talking point among audiences, particularly for the now-viral line, “Don’t miss home, Jassi,” delivered during a key moment opposite Ranveer’s Hamza.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge explores the transformation of Jaskirat Singh Rangi into Hamza Ali Mazarian undercover operative navigating Pakistan’s underworld.

Featuring performances by Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt, the film has emerged as a major box office successcrossing Rs 600 crore in India and Rs 1000 crore worldwide within its first week.
