Delhi Police arrested two female aides of Chaitanyananda Saraswati in the ashram scandal; he faces charges of sexually harassing 17 women and was caught in Agra.
Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati was apprehended from Agra in the early hours of Sunday.
As the probe into the Delhi ashram scandal deepens, the Delhi Police have made two more arrests in connection with the case. Two female accomplices of self-styled godman, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, accused of sexually harassing 17 women, have now been taken into custody.
The two women are currently being interrogated by the police. According to sources, Chaitanyananda has not been cooperating during questioning and is allegedly providing false information to the investigators.
Police have also recovered chat conversations with multiple women from one of his phones. Additionally, they found screenshots of several women’s profile pictures stored on his device.
As the investigation gathered momentum, Chaitanyananda was arrested and remanded to five-day police custody by a Delhi court. He was apprehended from Agra, Uttar Pradesh, in the early hours of Sunday.
