Star Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants Casemiro to skip an offer from Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, which is Lionel Messi’s home now, and instead join Al Nassr, as Casemiro’s contract comes to an end at Manchester United.
After Casemiro’s confirmation that he will leave United at season’s end, a battle of football giants has erupted to bag the experienced midfielder’s services.
Ronaldo, the face of Arab football, has taken the lead in persuading Casemiro to join his Saudi project, according to Mark.
Recalling their glory days together at the ‘White House’, Ronaldo views Casemiro as the key footballer to elevate his side to the next level.
For Casemiro, the Saudi offer is a lucrative chance, on par with the high-value contracts he has enjoyed in the Premier League and comes with the chance to reunite with a legendary teammate.
But Messi also wants Casemiro in his corner.
Inter Miami, under David Beckham, has made Casemiro its top post-FIFA World Cup priority. The club plans for the latter to step in and replace Sergio Busquets in midfield.
Reports suggest negotiations are well advanced, with Casemiro even visiting Miami to tour the facilities and meet the board in person. If finalised, it would mark an unprecedented moment in football: one of Real Madrid’s greatest legends sharing a locker room with Messi.
While Ronaldo is keen to bag Casemiro, Inter Miami remains an enticing option. The Herons have emerged as serious contenders, seeing Casemiro as Busquets’ natural successor and a veteran anchor for their star-studded Florida midfield.
The possibility of Casemiro joining Messi adds extra intrigue, given their storied Clasico rivalry at Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Casemiro has confirmed he will leave Manchester United this summer. Since arriving from Real Madrid in 2022, he has made 155 appearances across all competitions, scoring 24 goals and providing 14 assists.
