1. Indigo’s domestic flights costlier by ₹ 950, international by ₹ 10,000: Fare increased for the second time in 18 days; Extra charges will be imposed due to cost of fuel
Flights of the country’s largest airline company Indigo will become expensive from Thursday. The airline has imposed extra fuel charge up to a maximum of ₹950 on domestic flights and up to ₹10,000 on international flights. The new prices will be applicable from 12:01 am on April 2.
Indigo has decided to increase fuel surcharge on domestic and international flights for the second time in 18 days. Earlier, the company had also increased the fares on March 14.

There was a rise in the prices of gold and silver on Thursday. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 4,120 to reach Rs 1.51 lakh. Earlier its price was Rs 1.47 lakh per 10 grams.
At the same time, one kg of silver has increased by Rs 9,701 to Rs 2.40 lakh. Earlier its price was Rs 2.30 lakh per kg.

4. CBI registers new case against Anil Ambani: Allegation of fraud of ₹3,750 crore from LIC; Made investment by giving false information
CBI has registered a new case against Reliance Communications (RCom) and Anil Ambani. This action has been taken on the complaint of LIC. The investigating agency alleges that Anil Ambani and his company in collusion have defrauded LIC of about ₹3,750 crore.
This is the fourth case against RCom and Anil Ambani. CBI has registered an FIR in this case under sections of criminal conspiracy, cheating and Prevention of Corruption Act.

5. Government collected ₹2 lakh crore GST in March: This is the highest in 10 months; ₹22 lakh crore collection in financial year 2025-26
In March this year, gross GST collection crossed ₹2 lakh crore, increasing by 8.8% on an annual basis. A year ago in March 2025 it was ₹1.83 lakh crore.
