US President Donald Trump confirmed that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran has officially come into effect, urging both sides to honour the agreement and not violate it.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said: “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT! DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!” His statement follows a series of high-level negotiations that culminated in the truce, aimed at halting further escalation after weeks of deadly exchanges between the two nations.
