CBSE Re-evaluation Policy

CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj has clarified that the board’s reassessment process is available only for theory papers, and students who believe their written exam copies have not been evaluated correctly may apply for re-evaluation, while no changes or challenges are permitted for internal assessment and practical exam marks. He stressed that students should apply only if they are absolutely certain an error has occurred, as marks may either increase or decrease after re-evaluation; in cases where marks decrease, the student must surrender the old marksheet, and only the new marksheet with the lower marks will be considered valid.
