A terrifying road accident in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani has gone viral after CCTV footage captured two young men being flung into the air when their motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding car.
The incident took place at Gaura Padav and shows the bike shooting out from the wrong side of the road. In just seconds, a car reportedly returning from Kainchi Dham towards Lalkuan slams into the motorcycle with immense force. The impact launches both riders several feet into the air before they crash onto the road — a scene that appears fatal at first glance.
Incredibly, both youths survived with only minor injuries. Police later identified them as residents of Vanbhulpura. Officers reached the spot quickly and administered first aid. Since neither party filed a written complaint, no FIR was registered.
Separate Tragedy in Chamoli
In another accident in Uttarakhand, two men died and three others were injured after their vehicle plunged into a ditch in Chamoli district’s Jyotirmath area.
The crash occurred near a power station on the Helang-Urgam motor road on Wednesday evening when a Sumo carrying five wedding guests lost control and skidded off the road. Dhruv and Kanhaiya, both 19, died instantly. Three others — Manwar (28) and Puran Singh (55) among them — were rescued and taken to hospital. All individuals involved are residents of Sulad village, police said.
Both incidents highlight the alarming frequency of road accidents across the hill state, where sharp turns, speeding, and poor visibility often combine to deadly effect.
