BSSC CGL 2025: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced 1,481 vacancies for various positions, to be filled through the Graduate Level Combined Competitive Exam (CGL 2025). The application process will commence on August 18 and conclude on September 17. Eligible candidates can apply via the commission’s official website, bssc.bihar.gov.in.
Of the total vacancies include 1064 Assistant Branch Officers, 88 Planning Assistants, 5 Junior Statistical Assistants, 125 Auditor posts, 190 Auditor of Auxiliary Committees, and one Data Entry Operator Grade C post.
The eligibility criteria, including educational and technical qualifications, vary for each post. BSSC has mentioned that it will conduct an objective-type examination to shortlist candidates only if the commission receives more than 40,000 applications.
BSSC CGL 2025 Recruitment: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed graduation.
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 21 and 37 years of age as of the cut-off date. However, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.
BSSC CGL 2025 Recruitment: Selection Process
Following the preliminary examination, BSSC will shortlist candidates equal to five times the number of vacancies for the mains examination, for which a separate notification will be issued.
The preliminary examination will include questions from General Studies, General Science and Mathematics, Mental Ability Test (Comprehension/Logic/Reasoning/Mental Ability). The preliminary exam will consist of 150 questions, each worth four marks. Candidates will have two hours and 15 minutes to complete the paper. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
The medium of the preliminary examination will be Hindi and English. In case of any dispute, the English version of the question will be considered valid.
Candidates may bring one book each for the three topics to the exam centre. Only textbooks from NCERT, BSEB, and ICSE boards will be allowed.
Guide books, photocopies, handwritten papers, notes, electronic devices, etc., will not be permitted inside the exam hall.
