BSF apprehended a Pakistani national who crossed the International Border in Jammu’s RS Pura on Sunday night. He was caught with Pakistani currency and handed over to the police.

The Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday apprehended a Pakistani intruder at the International Border in the RS Pura sector of Jammu, news agency ANI quoted the force as saying on Monday.
In an official statement, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) said that the BSF troops observed suspicious movement, wherein a Pakistani national was observed crossing the International Border and approaching the border fence.
He was soon taken into custody by the BSF, the release stated.
“On 07 Sep 2025 at about 2110 Hrs, BSF troops observed suspicious movement wherein a Pak National was observed crossing the IB and approaching aggressively towards the border fence in tehsil Suchetgarh, Jammu,” it mentioned.
“He was warned by alert troops but paid no heed. BSF troops, sensing a threat, fired on him. He was taken into BSF custody,” the PRO stated.
“Later on, durning quicating, he reveled his Identity as Siraj Khan, S/O zahid Khan, Village 27 Chak, Tehsil Bhalwal, District Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan.”
“During the search, Pakistani currency was recovered from him. He has been handed over to the police. Protest being lodged with counterpart,” the release mentioned.
On Sunday, the BSF apprehended five persons and seized pistols, heroin and a drone on the Punjab border, ANI quoted the BSF Punjab as saying.
In a crackdown against narco-terror, BSF Punjab troops foiled multiple smuggling attempts along the border.
Acting on intelligence, BSF and the Anti Narcotic Task Force, Amritsar, apprehended one smuggler near ChabbalTarn Taran and seized 504 gms of heroin, a mobile and a bike from their possession.
Following the development, at Sur Singh Market, Tarn Tarana joint team detained four smugglers with 5.032 kg heroin, two pistols, a Scorpio, four mobiles, two bikes and Rs 1,000 cash.
