Is it a plane? Is it a bird?

Nope, it’s just that all-too-familiar bottle flying high over the Gunners’ faithful.

In a result that felt both shocking and eerily familiar, Arsenal stumbled to a 2-1 defeat against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, blowing the Premier League title race wide open.

For the Gunners, this was supposed to be the moment they ran away with the title. In fact, Mikel Arteta’s side had the chance to stretch their lead to 12 excruciating points.

But, as fate would have it, life came full circle, unfortunately.

Instead, a third straight domestic loss has handed momentum straight back to Manchester City, who are now in the driver’s seat — with multiple games in hand.

From Dream Season to Sudden Collapse

Not long ago, Arsenal were chasing history — a potential quadruple. Now, the narrative has flipped brutally.

They’ve already lost the League Cup final to City and crashed out of the FA Cup to Southampton. Add three defeats in their last four matches, and what once looked like dominance now feels like deja vu.

The Premier League title, which Arsenal haven’t lifted since 2004, suddenly looks fragile again.

“It’s a big punch in the face,” Arteta admitted. “Now it’s about how we react to that.”

He didn’t shy away from the mental weight either.

“We know what is at stake… and the fact that as a club we haven’t done it for so long is a reason for that.”

With six games to go, the pressure is very real.

All Roads Lead To A Title Decider?

City’s next fixtures could define everything — a trip to Chelsea tonight, followed by a blockbuster showdown against Arsenal next weekend.

That clash now looms as a potential title decider. And for Arsenal, the margin for error is gone.

Elsewhere in the Premier League

Liverpool boosted their Champions League hopes with a 2-0 win over Fulham, easing pressure on Arne Slot. Also, Brentford and Everton played out a 2-2 draw, with Igor Thiago netting twice to move within one goal of Erling Haaland in the Golden Boot race. Meanwhile, Brighton & Hove Albion saw Mats Wieffer score twice in a 2-0 win over Burnley.
