A young tech professional couple from Telangana died by suicide in a shocking sequence of events at their residence in Bengaluru, NDTV reported.
According to the report, Bhanu Chander Reddy Kunta (32), a software engineer from Siddipet district in Telangana, allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself inside a room of their apartment on Monday.
His wife, Bibi Shaziya Siraj (31), who worked with IBM, became suspicious after the room remained locked and her husband did not respond despite repeated knocking.
Concerned, she alerted the apartment’s security staff and neighbours for assistance.
Residents then forced the door open and found Bhanu hanging inside the room.
Moments after discovering her husband’s body, Shaziya allegedly jumped from the 17th floor of the same residential complex, leading to her death, the report mentioned.
Police registered two separate cases of unnatural death based on complaints filed by family members in Telangana.
Meanwhile, investigators were examining various possible factors that may have led to the deaths, including potential health-related concerns, relationship issues and emotional distress.
Authorities are also awaiting post-mortem reports, which are expected to provide further clarity on the circumstances surrounding the incident.
